A Bloomington native, Ashley joined IU as Pastry Chef de Cuisine in 2015. She was named Plated Dessert Champion at the CaterSource Rapid Recipe Challenge (2016, gold) and Diced Competition (2017, gold) in Las Vegas. She previously managed pastry kitchens including Omni Homestead Resort in Virginia, Taj Boston Hotel, and Cliff House Maine. She completed three degrees magna cum laude from the prestigious Johnson & Wales University: an associate degree and bachelor’s degree in applied science, baking, and pastry (2010 & 2011) and a hospitality-focused MBA in 2022. She earned a certificate in hospitality management from DCT International Hotel & Business Management School in Vitznau, Switzerland.
