Communication is key
IU Dining staff are here to nourish and fuel students to support their IU experience.
Admitted students should reach out to our dietitians as soon as possible to schedule a personal, one-on-one consultation at which you can share the details of your food allergies, sensitivities, and/or religious preferences. Be sure to share the information with your roommate, friends, and resident assistant once you’re on campus.
- Learn the IU allergen icons used at our dining locations and in our online menus.
- Have a prescription for an Epi-Pen? Always carry it with you.
- If you are exhibiting symptoms of anaphylaxis, get help immediately. Administer your EpiPen or take an antihistamine and call 911. If you are on campus, stay where you are and notify a staff member. Make note of the day, time, and foods eaten.
