IU Dining offers a wide variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes at all-you-care-to-eat dining halls and eateries across campus. The best part: the meals are included in your dining plan, and we have tips on where to find some of the tastiest options.
Breakfast
It’s breakfast all day until 2 p.m. at Scratch Cafe (in McNutt and Forest), where the coffee is hot, the plant-based milk is cold, and the berries are fresh (they go fast! Early risers get the berries).
- Daily vegan offerings include hot oatmeal with fruit or granola, breakfast potatoes, bagels and jam, cereal, plant-based milks, and an array of toppings and sides, including fresh fruit.
- Daily vegetarian options at Scratch include all the above plus a customizable yogurt parfait bar, scrambled eggs, and pancakes and waffles.
Stop by McNutt's Free from IX to snag an icy vegan smoothie of the day (recent flavors have been Cherry Berry, Strawberry Banana, Berry).
While you’re at it, pick up a coconut-based yogurt with allergen-free granola, avocado toast, and vegan hot cakes and French toast, available until 11 a.m. (Or get them all—that's the beauty of the All-You-Care-to-Eat plan!)
